Connect WhatsApp Business Account
This document outlines the steps to reset your password using the token sent to your business email and to connect your WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) using the Facebook Business Manager (FBM).
Open the email sent to your business email address containing the password reset token.
Follow the instructions in the email to reset your password using the provided token.
Navigate to the login page of the portal.
Enter your business email address as the username.
Use the new password you set in Step 1 to log in.
Step 3: Access the Dashboard
After logging in, click on the “View” button.
This action will display the main dashboard.
Step 4: Apply for WhatsApp Business Account
On the dashboard, locate the customized WhatsApp link box.
Click on the “Apply Now” button beside the link box.
A Facebook dialog box will appear.
NOTE: Ensure the portal remains open in the background during this process.
Step 5: Confirm Facebook Account
Verify with the client if the Facebook account displayed is the correct one they wish to connect.
Once confirmed, click on the “Continue as [Client Name]” button.
Step 6: Business Portfolio Selection
Select the business portfolio associated with the FBM.
Enter the business name as per the client's requirements.
Select the country where the WABA number will be used.
Step 7: Create WhatsApp Business Account
Choose “Create a WhatsApp Business account” and “Create a new WhatsApp profile.”
Step 8: Enter Business Details
Enter the “WhatsApp Business Account Name” for the client’s reference.
Add the “WhatsApp Business Display Name”
(Note: The display name cannot be in all capital letters)
Choose the category of business.
Click on “Show more Options” and verify the client’s website, ensuring it uses “https://.”
Click on “Next.”
Step 9: Enter WABA Number
Choose the country code for the WABA number.
Enter the WABA number in the number field.
Choose the mode to receive the OTP based on the client’s preference.
Confirm with the client that the WABA number is handy before proceeding.
Click on “Next.”
Ask the client to enter the OTP received on the WABA number.
Click on “Next.”
Note: The OTP may take some time to be received. Do not resend it as multiple requests can restrict the API, preventing further assistance.
Step 11: Continue the Process
Click on “Continue.”
Step 12: Complete the Setup
Click on “Finish.”
Warning: Advise the client not to click anywhere else until the account setup is complete and the account is live.
