JivoChat Channel

In this document, you will learn how to build your web chat chatbot with Jivo Chat. You can use our visual flow builder to drag & drop design your own chatbot automation.

We will talk about below 3 different points:

  • How to connect your JivoChat account

  • How to design your JivoChat chatbots

  • How to transfer conversation to the live chat agent in JivoChat

  • How to publish the bot & install the JivoChat to your website

Jivochat Chatbot integrations are now only available on their Professional plan.

How to connect your JivoChat account

In the dashboard, you can find the JivoChat in the channels, and then you can click “Add New JivoChat bot” button.


And then add a name to your new JivoChat bot.


And then you will reach the below screenshot.


You need to copy the token generated in OCP.

Now, you can go to your JivoChat app and log in, then go to manage → Extension→ Integration


In this menu, you will be able to add a picture of your bot, name and other data. Do not forget to paste your token from OCP here. Just click “save” and now the bot will be linked to Jivo.


after you paste your token in the above screenshot, you need to go back OCP to create a bot flow insider of OCP.

This is very simple, just go to “create bot”. You will be sent to this page, you can select a template or start a new one. Click on start black flow, for example:


Type a name for your template and description if needed and click on “Create Bot”


Here you will see your flow, you can edit it, add questions, intents, actions, integrations and so on

How to design your JivoChat bot

Once you connect JivoChat with OCP, you will be able to create your chatbot with our visual drag & drop flow builder.

For sending messages:
OCP support you to send blowing message types:

  • Text

  • Image

  • Audio

  • Video

  • File

  • Location


In the question block, OCP allows you to collect the below information from the user:

  • Text with buttons

  • Number

  • Email

  • URL

  • PHone number

  • Date

  • Date/Time

  • Choice

  • Image

  • File


 

Besides of the send message & question block, OCP support you to easily integrate with 3rd party through our native integrations like below:

And also you can integrate with 3rd party through Zapier, Make, Pabbly Connect, etc.

Also, OCP has a built-in e-commerce module, you can build your own e-commerce solutions right inside of OCP.

How to transfer the conversation to the agent in JivoChat

In order to transfer the conversation to an agent you will need to set up an action → Talk to human/pause automation:

 

Please note that you don’t need to select “Live chat settings” or use “Live chat notifications” in the JivoChat channel. Just use the “Talk to human/Pause automation” will trigger and transfer the live chat to your JivoChat agent.

How to publish the bot & install the JivoChat to your website

You can use JivoChat on your website, and it isn’t rely on any social platforms. In this section, you will learn how to install the chatbot you just build in OCP on your website.


In your JivoChat account, you can go to channels, and find the settings in the channel you want to install to your website.

And then you can go to the installation section, and copy the script onto your website.


After you add the script to your website, your chatbot will be active.
